Edible Sukkah Dessert

It's sukkos time and we have a fun food craft or dessert that your kids will love to make. DIY Edible Sukkahs !!! Creating small edible sukkah treats with wafers and sour belts. Fill it with ganache, mousse or other delicious fillings.

Here's What You Will Need:

  • Chocolate covered wafers

  • Green Sour Belts or Sour Sticks

  • 16 ounce whip topping

  • 12 ounces good quality chocolate

  • 3/4 cup peanut butter

To Begin:

Use a double boiler to melt the whip topping, chocolate and peanut butter. Set aside to cool and thicken.

Now onto the sukkah walls. Take two wafers and stand them up parallel to one another. Take a third wafer and cut into two pieces to create the width of the sukkah. Using the ganache, spread a bit of ganache onto the edges of the wafers as "glue" for the sukkah walls.

Once the genache is thicker and creamier, place the ganache into a piping bag or ziplock bag. Create a hole and pipe it into the center of each sukkah. Be sure not to fill up the sukkah completely, as we want to leave room for an additional piece of wafer. Place a small piece of wafer on top. This will prevent the sour belts from getting soggy.

Then, take the sour belts, rip them into thinner strands, and place them on top as the schach.

If you feel that your schach is falling off the sides, simply use a bit of ganache as glue.

And there you have it!

Enjoy!! Chag Sameach!!
